Job fair at the faculty of humanities and pedagogy

Career guidance work of each department of our university is not only attracting potential applicants for training, but also holding events that will contribute to the successful employment of graduates. Such an event at the faculty of humanities and pedagogy was the job fair, organized by each graduate department.
"The best description of the specialty at such an event can be given by its graduates," the instructors of the department of pedagogy decided. Therefore the deputy director for personnel of the region "Center" of the MTC "Silpo" was invited to a meeting with senior students. Kyiv Yulia Yevtushenko and head of the Department of public goods of BTU-Center Roman Babkovich.
The first of the guests is the word Malaya Yulia Yevtushenko who is not only a graduate of the Department of pedagogy, but also represents a cohort of successful businesswomen of Ukraine, demonstrating career opportunities by her own example. Yulia noted that the thorough knowledge provided by the department of pedagogy ( fundamentals of business coaching, HR management, pedagogy and psychology, rules of business communication, etc.) is an integral part of the competitiveness of a specialist, outlined the individual trajectory of personal and professional growth for young people, the opportunities of which are created by her company, familiarized those present with the advantages and features of employment of graduates of the Department of pedagogy and even applicants for education with the internship program "create yourself".


Roman Babkovych is not only a successful head of the well-known company BTU - Center, a Ukrainian manufacturer of microbial and enzyme preparations for agriculture. He participates in the discussion of curricula and programs, holds lectures and seminars on the selective educational component "Startup in education and the agro-industrial complex", which more than 40 applicants for education expressed a desire to become students of in EPP "Professional education". The stakeholder introduced the participants to the advantages and employment opportunities in the company he represents.


The department of journalism and language communication on this day, held a meeting of student journalists with specialists of the Kyiv city employment center Oksana Shubina and Tamara Nazarok. The main topic of the meeting was information hygiene during the war. Students got acquainted with the risks that they may encounter during employment, understood how to distinguish between reliable information and fakes, etc. Oksana Shubina informed students about the Academy of Ukrainian press, about information portals that will be useful for future journalists.
Students learned about the work of the center and its services, passed tests to determine their abilities, and received professional comments on the results of their responses. The guests answered students' questions and advised them on certain issues about finding a job.



Graduates of  specialties "International relations, public communications and regional studios" have a wide range of opportunities for further employment. People's deputy of Ukraine of the II and III convocations, diplomat, political adviser of the embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Armenia Volodymyr Viktorovych Kulinych and deputy director of the National cultural reserve "Kyivan Rus Park" Natalia Petrivna Kovaltold them about some areas where they could realize themselves.
Volodymyr Viktorovych drew attention to the universality of the profession of a diplomat, which combines analytics and politics, image maker and translator, and Natalia Petrivna, presented employment opportunities in the historical, cultural and tourism spheres, which occupy one of the most important places both in the internal and external activities of all countries of the world.


Lyudmyla Barabash and Svitlana Anushkova - border guards of the state border service of Ukraine from a separate checkpoint "Kyiv" also visited the job fair for international students. They presented the students with the advantages of the border guard service, which is noble and vital for the state, because it ensures inviolability and order at the borders. There is a strict and meticulous selection of candidates for the service," the guests noted, "but the path to the border guard service is open for our students." Moreover, the young people were offered favorable conditions of service, in particular, monthly monetary and clothing support, additional monthly payments, free food and medical support, as well as free training at the National Academy of the state border service, the opportunity to choose a place of service, etc.


Senior students also got acquainted with employment opportunities in their specialty "Psychology". This time, the following areas of employment were presented at the "job fair": preschool education, school education, private consulting practice.
The psychologist Anzhela Karas introduced future specialists to the specifics of acquiring practical work experience, choosing the scope of application of their competencies and building a private practice. From the director of preschool educational institution No. 544 in Kyiv Marharyta Styzhka students learned the requirements for the personality of a psychologist working with children, received practical recommendations for starting a professional career. Natalia, a recruiter, introduced the participants to the specifics of the functioning of the psychological Center in the MIDGARD secondary education institution and expectations for candidates for vacant positions. Director of gymnasium No. 109 named after T. H. Shevchenko in Pechersk district of Kyiv Vitaliya Polyakova told students about the important tasks of psychologists in state institutions of secondary education, the specifics of their work and expectations for their competencies.

To students of specialty "Physical culture and sports" heard interesting suggestions from the judge of the national futsal category  Vitaliy Oliynyk and deputy director of Youth sports school No. 1 Vadym Stepanyuk.
Vitaliy Oliynyk presented students courses of futsal referees with further employment, outlined the nuances of the work of futsal referees, financial opportunities and career prospects, and Vadym Stepanyuk offered the work of football coaches for different age groups in youth sports school No. 1, outlined the nature of work, job responsibilities and employment conditions.
The head of the department of physical education Mykola Kostenko joined the meeting and used his own example to tell students about the specifics of working as an referee and coach. He noted the need to learn a foreign language and outlined prospects for international cooperation in arbitration of European and world tournaments and championships.

 

All meetings were held in a warm atmosphere of constructive dialogue between interested parties and became a mutual pleasant discovery for students and guests. The speeches of stakeholders caused a lively reaction among the audience, there were many questions and specific answers everywhere, so the Job Fair was not held in vain.
