Student scientific group “Forest ecology and applied silviculture”

    The department pays great attention to vocational focus of training students through their involvement in the work at a Student scientific group: “Forest Ecology and Applied Silviculture” and to participate in field research workshops. The teaching staff of the department teaches students to master the achievements of Forest science, involve them in active scientific research approbation, helps to make research on the group meetings, conferences, round tables and so on.
     Students are acquainted with a wide range of issues: forest regeneration, thinning features in stands of different age and composition, clear cutting, game management and fire ecology. Also, study group involved in laying permanent sample plots.
