Meeting of Students with Bohdan ZVARUN, Managing Director of ZVARUN LAW FIRM
On 7 April 2026, the Faculty of Agricultural Management hosted a lecture by Bohdan ZVARUN – PhD student in the ‘Management’ programme, a lawyer and managing director of ZVARUN LAW FIRM, on the topic ‘Employment contract, contract and gig contract + collective agreement and student contract’ for students the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education in the ‘Management’ programme and members of the ‘Leader’s DNA’ student research group.

The event was organized by Tetiana BALANOVSKA, Head of the Department of Management named after Professor J. S. Zavadskyi, who introduced the speaker, highlighting his professional experience, practical work, and academic achievements in law and management. Throughout the event, Tetiana Ivanivna ensured a high academic and methodological standard of discussion, highlighted key aspects of the topic, supplemented the presentation with insightful comments, and facilitated a substantive discussion, which lent the meeting particular academic significance.
During the lecture, the speaker addressed relevant issues of labor law regulation in Ukraine in the context of labor market transformation and the emergence of new forms of employment. Students received a structured overview of the legal nature and features of employment contracts, gig contracts, collective agreements, and student employment contracts, as modern mechanisms for combining education with professional activity.
Bohdan ZVARUN placed particular emphasis on the comparative analysis of various forms of legal employment arrangements, highlighting differences in their legal nature, scope of social guarantees, level of liability, and taxation specifics. Special attention was also given to the application of gig contracts within the “Diia City” legal framework, including their advantages and potential risks, as well as to the role of collective agreements as an effective tool for regulating social and labor relations at the enterprise level.

An important part of the meeting was the discussion of the student employment contract as an innovative approach to integrating the educational process with practical training, opening new opportunities for students to gain professional experience and develop relevant competencies.
During the lecture, students demonstrated a high level of engagement, attentively followed the presentation, and actively participated in the discussion by asking thoughtful and practice-oriented questions. The dynamic interaction among the speaker, academic staff, and students deepened understanding of the topic and enhanced the practical value of the event.
