NUBiP of Ukraine has received an EIT Water grant for an educational project

National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine has become one of the winners of a prestigious grant competition within the SKILLS BOOSTER initiative by EIT Water. This victory opens up new opportunities for the university's integration into the European educational area and makes it possible to implement a pilot innovative project aimed at strengthening professional competencies in the field of water management.

The EIT Water Knowledge and Innovation Community is a community of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology that brings together leading universities, research centres and business structures to address pressing challenges in the water and maritime sectors. The SKILLS BOOSTER grant competition supports educational initiatives that develop entrepreneurial and systems thinking among professionals, students and researchers. The project is funded by the Poul Due Jensen Foundation.

The winning Booster4Resilience project is an interactive four-module training programme designed to enhance the resilience of water systems to climate extremes and external threats, particularly the consequences of hostilities. The programme combines advanced approaches and practical tools, including water quality management, digital modelling, economics and green finance.

The project team includes: Vita Strokal, Maksym Klymenko and Yelyzaveta Didur.

This programme not only strengthens the role of the NUBiP of Ukraine in the European Research Area but also lays the foundation for the development of innovative investment projects aimed at the restoration of Ukraine's water resources.

The victory in the competition confirms the high level of expertise of the university's staff and its readiness to solve complex environmental tasks on a European scale.
