Training by the German Sparkassenstiftung for students of the Faculty of Agricultural Management of NUBiP of Ukraine

From June 9 to 11, a three-day training was held at the Faculty of Agricultural Management of NULES of Ukraine, conducted by coaches Ruslana YOVKO and Olena FEDAK, representatives of the German Sparkassenstiftung — a joint enterprise of the German Savings Banks Finance Group. The event provided first- and second-year students majoring in “Management” (Educational Programs “Management” and “International Business Management”) with an opportunity to deepen their knowledge in entrepreneurship, financial planning, and agribusiness management.

The greatest interest among participants was sparked by an interactive business simulation game for farmers, in which students were divided into teams and took on the roles of farm owners. Participants purchased land plots, selected areas of activity, cultivated crops, engaged in livestock farming, planned expenses and revenues, and made strategic decisions for the development of their businesses.

During the simulation, students experienced what it means to be real managers of agricultural enterprises, learning how to effectively use resources, analyze potential risks, and work as a team. The atmosphere of healthy competition, collaboration, and active discussion contributed not only to acquiring new knowledge but also to developing leadership skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.

“This experience broke the mold of traditional learning! We were able to feel real responsibility for every managerial decision and see how management theory and process analysis work in practice. It is an incredible boost for further professional development,” shared the participating students.

The training concluded with a summary session and the announcement of overall results, during which winning teams were identified. However, the most valuable outcome for all participants was the practical experience gained, new connections, and positive impressions from three intensive and productive days.

Students of the Faculty of Agricultural Management express their sincere gratitude to coaches Ruslana YOVKO and Olena FEDAK, as well as to the German Sparkassenstiftung organization, for the informative program, the opportunity to gain practical skills, and the valuable experience that will benefit future professionals in the field of entrepreneurship.
