Structure
The following educational and research laboratories are in operation:
- Animal Physiology Educational Laboratory;
- Pharmacology and Toxicology Educational Laboratory;
- Preclinical Research Educational and Research Laboratory;
- Clinical Research of Medicinal Products Educational and Research Laboratory.
The tasks of the laboratories are:

To provide students and listeners of the University with workplaces equipped with modern equipment, methodological and reference literature.

To create safe working conditions at workplaces in accordance with the requirements of current legislation.

Conducting laboratory and practical classes by scientific and pedagogical staff of the department at a high educational and methodological level in accordance with current curricula and the schedule of the educational process.

Systematic updating and improvement of the educational and laboratory base, technical means of training, computerisation and automation of the educational process.
The department actively supports student research clubs in Veterinary Pharmacology and Pharmacy, Animal Physiology, Veterinary Toxicology, and Comparative Animal Physiology. Club members actively participate in scientific work and present at scientific conferences and seminars.
Scientific schools of the department: ‘Scientific School of Electrophysiology’ Professor S. Yu. Chagovets; ‘Experimental Animal Physiology’ Professor S. Yu. Yaroslav; Professor Bazhenov S.V. - initiated the study of the toxic properties of combat poisons for animals; Academician G. O. Khmelnytskyi - mycotoxicosis in animals - development of methods for diagnosis, treatment and prevention; Professor V. I. Karpovsky - ‘Cortico-vegetative regulation of physiological functions in animals’.
The material and technical support of the department allows, in accordance with the curriculum, to conduct modern laboratory workshops and laboratory practical classes.
The teaching staff of the department includes 5 doctors of science, 5 candidates of science, and 1 assistant. All teachers of the department regularly improve their qualifications in order to perfect their teaching methods, which are important and necessary aspects of the development of education and the achievement of high-quality results in the educational process.
