International scientific-practical conference "Sustainable crop production: minimization of climatic risks for agrobiocenoses"

On May 21-22, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Sustainable Crop Production: Minimalization of Climate Risks for Agrobiocenoses" was held at the Faculty of Agrobiology of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine.

The event brought together leading scientists, research and teaching staff, graduate students and students who came together to discuss the global challenges of the modern agricultural sector and find effective solutions. Oksana Tonkha, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities of NUBiP of Ukraine, and Dean of the Faculty of Agrobiology Volodymyr Zavhorodniy addressed They emphasized the importance of synergy between science and practice in the face of climate change and emphasized that the developments of the university's young and experienced scientists are of strategic importance for the country's food security.

The conference program covered a wide range of applied and theoretical issues. The main focus of the reports was on such areas as the quality of crop products, modern technological processes of cultivation, processing of crop products, and optimization of fertilizer systems.

The speakers presented a number of solid scientific studies.

The conference was actively attended by higher education applicants who demonstrated deep theoretical knowledge and a desire for experimental work. The performance of Denys Yasinsky, an applicant for the first (bachelor's) level of higher education, aroused real interest. He presented an extremely interesting report on the topic: "Efficiency of binary soybean and wheat crops compared to single-species in the feed production system". No less relevant was the report of the applicant of the second (master's) level of higher education Lyubov Tkhoryk, who spoke with the topic: "Productivity of feed beans in the conditions of nitrogen nutrition optimization", offering effective solutions to increase crop yields.

Overall, the conference was extremely interesting, informative and rich in professional scientific reports. Lively discussions, exchange of practical experience and presentation of bold experimental solutions once again proved that the Faculty of Agrobiology of NUBiP of Ukraine remains a powerful center for the development of agricultural science, which is able to effectively respond to the challenges of modernity.
