Scientific and practical workshop within the ECOTOWINS project: new horizons for masters of NUBiP

On the basis of the National University of Bioresources and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, a scientific and practical event was held as a key stage in the implementation of the international project ECOTWINS ("Research volume and building and upgrading the research in the NUBiP on agrocological intensification for production"), supported by the Horizon Europe program.

The event was held in a mixed format, and special emphasis was placed on the involvement of young researchers, in particular masters of the specialty H1 Agronomy OPP "Protection and Soil Recovery Technologies", who had the opportunity to join the discussions both in person and online.

The focus of the workshop was paid to the fundamental aspects of soil health in the context of the European Green Deal. The participants discussed in detail the role of biological activity of the soil environment, the dynamics of organic matter accumulation and the improvement of the physical condition of soils through the introduction of innovative agricultural technologies.

Participation in events of this level allowed the masters to go beyond the standard curriculum and significantly expand their scientific horizons. Thanks to the online platform, students became full members of the professional community, gaining access to advanced knowledge directly from international experts. Digital interaction helps the masters to master more deeply the complex mechanisms of compatible crops and the specifics of the functioning of biological preparations in different soil and climatic conditions. This not only strengthened their theoretical basis, but also formed a clear understanding of how academic research is transformed into practical technologies for soil restoration. The experience gained stimulates young scientists to research that meet modern world challenges. The ECOTWINS project creates conditions for professional growth of young people, laying the foundation for an environmentally safe future of agriculture.
