Department of English Philology
The Department of English Philology is a modern academic and research center whose mission is to train highly qualified specialists with a profound knowledge of the English language, culture, and literature, capable of working effectively in the fields of education, research, translation, and international communication.
The main objectives of the Department are:
to develop strong linguistic and communicative competences;
to foster students’ critical and analytical thinking;
to integrate classical philological traditions with modern teaching methods;
to promote academic mobility and intercultural dialogue;
to cultivate a love of the word as an instrument for understanding the world.
The academic staff of the Department firmly believes that knowledge of a foreign language opens new horizons for personal and professional growth. As Ludwig Wittgenstein once said, “The limits of my language mean the limits of my world.”
We create an environment where students not only master the English language but also become active members of the global academic community.
