The main objective of the international activities of the Faculty of Humanities and Pedagogy at NUBiP of Ukraine is to support and develop the University's international relations in the academic, social and cultural spheres. To this end, the Departments of English Philology, Romance and Germanic Languages, and Foreign Philology and Translation successfully develop international cooperation with foreign higher education institutions, renowned international organisations, and international publishing and printing companies, including America House Kyiv, British Council, Cambridge University Press, Cambridge English Language Assessment, National Geographic Learning, and others. The academic staff of these departments also actively participate in various international projects aimed at enhancing the national and international standing of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine.

In 2016, the departments of the Faculty of Humanities and Pedagogy at NUBiP of Ukraine organised and held three International Scientific and Practical Conferences, as well as around ten scientific and methodological seminars, workshops and round tables with the participation of representatives of international organisations and embassies. The Faculty also participated in dozens of international events held both at the University and abroad. The Faculty organised Cambridge English courses for academic staff and students, arranged for French lecturers to teach French to students, and hosted a number of lectures by representatives of international companies for University students. It also strengthened its feedback system through the regular collection of employers' feedback and suggestions regarding the level of professional foreign-language proficiency among University graduates. Academic staff of the Faculty actively participated in receiving and accompanying delegations from ASF and FEFU (France) during the selection of NUBiP students for internships in France and Germany. Cooperation agreements with international organisations in France were concluded and renewed, as well as an agreement on joint student education with the Pomeranian Academy in Słupsk, Poland.

Therefore, attention should be paid to the development of English phonological competence at all stages of English language learning. Seneca Ryan shared practical advice with teachers on improving the methodological skills required to develop students' phonetic competence.

International Scientific and Practical Seminar on "8 Great Speaking Activities for Teaching English", held at America House Kyiv.

In a friendly and informal atmosphere, participants had the opportunity to learn about approaches to developing speaking skills, explore several simple and enjoyable speaking activities for learners of English as a foreign language, and gain new ideas to help teachers from the Department encourage and motivate students to speak English. Expanding and Enhancing Opportunities for Students to Undertake Work Placements and Internships Abroad

For many years, the Department has maintained close ties with the French associations "Friendship Without Borders" (ASF) and the France–Ukraine Exchange Federation (FEFU). As part of this cooperation, representatives of these associations visit NUBiP of Ukraine every year to participate personally in the selection of students for internships at French farms and agricultural enterprises.

In the 2015–2016 academic year, the Department hosted delegations from the above-mentioned associations for the selection of students for internships. The ASF delegation visited NUBiP of Ukraine on 5–8 April 2016. This year, FEFU selected 16 students, while ASF selected 13.
