The Department of Animal Technology was established in 2025 in accordance with the order of the rector of the National University of Life Sciences of Ukraine No. 836 dated 01.07.2025, as a result of the merger of the Department of Technologies in Poultry, Pig and Sheep Breeding with the Department of Technologies in Milk and Meat Production (together with their structural divisions).
The purpose of the department's activities:
· ensuring the educational process for the training of bachelors, masters and scientists for work in cattle breeding, horse breeding, pig breeding, poultry breeding, sheep breeding, goat breeding, rabbit breeding, game breeding and other branches of agriculture;
· conducting scientific, scientific and methodological, innovative, implementation, educational work, etc.
Qualitative composition of the department:
- professors, doctors of sciences - 6;
- candidates of sciences, associate professors - 11;
- senior lecturer - 2;
- heads of laboratories – 6;
- senior laboratory assistants – 11;
- laboratory assistants – 3;
- masters of industrial training – 2;
- animal care workers – 2;
- veterinarian – 1.
