About the Program
The educational and professional program (EPP) for training second-level (master's) higher education students in specialty 101 “Ecology” contains the number of ECTS credits required to obtain the corresponding degree of higher education; a list of graduate competencies; the normative content of training for higher education applicants, formulated in terms of learning outcomes; forms of assessment of higher education applicants; requirements for the existence of an internal quality assurance system for higher education.
The educational and professional program for training specialists of the second (master's) level of higher education “Ecology and Environmental Protection” in the specialty 101 ‘Ecology’ was developed in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education,” Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated November 23, 2011, No. 1341 “On Approval of the National Qualifications Framework” with amendments in accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated June 25, 2020, No. 519, No. 1187 of December 30, 2015, “On Approval of Licensing Conditions for Educational Activities of Educational Institutions,” taking into account the Regulations “On Educational Programs at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine” approved by the protocol of the Academic Council of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine dated April 26, 2023, No. 10, the Standard of Higher Education of the relevant specialty.
Purpose of the Educational Program
The aim of the educational and professional program is to develop in future specialists the ability to dynamically combine knowledge, skills, communication skills, and abilities with autonomous activity and responsibility when solving tasks and problems in the field of ecology, environmental protection, and balanced nature management, as well as the implementation of innovative technologies in professional activities.

Features of the Educational Program
For one group, the program is taught in English. The first semester of the first year of study is an international mobility semester. The program requires students to complete academic and industrial internships in the environmental departments of enterprises, research institutions, and the Central Office, territorial and interregional territorial bodies of the State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine.
Employment
According to the current edition of the National Classifier of Ukraine: Classifier of Professions (DK 003:2010) and International Standard Classification of Occupations 2008 (ISCO-08), a graduate with a professional qualification of “Master of Ecology” can be employed in positions with the following professional titles: ecologist (2211.2); junior research assistant (nature conservation) (2213.1); radiation safety inspector (2111.2); environmental education specialist (2211.2); manager (administrator) of natural resource use (1412) or hold the following primary positions: head of laboratory (research, production preparation) (1237.2).
Further Study
A master's degree in Ecology entitles the holder to continue their studies in the postgraduate program 101 Ecology, which prepares students for a PhD.

Освітньо-професійна програма вищої освіти (ОПП) «Екологія за спеціальністю Е2 «Екологія» другого освітньо-професійного рівня, спрямована на підготовку здобувачів вищої освіти ступеня магістра у галузі Е Природничі науки, комплексу знань, умінь та навичок для застосування в професійній діяльності у сфері екології, здатних вирішувати комплексні проблеми природоохоронної галузі, розширювати та переоцінювати вже існуючі знання і професійні практики з проблем наук про життя і навколишнє природне середовище, використання та відтворення біоресурсів екосистем, здатних здійснювати критичний аналіз, оцінку і синтез нових ідей та запроваджувати новітні природоохоронні технології. ОПП містить чітко визначену мету, конкретизує очікувані результати навчання, особливості оцінювання якості підготовки майбутніх магістрів за даною спеціальністю. Структура ОПП включає в себе розділи, що містять наступні смислові блоки: загальна інформація, характеристика ОПП, , програмні компетентності (інтегральну, загальну, фахову складові), програмні результати навчання, ресурсне забезпечення реалізації програми та академічну мобільність.
