The double degree agreement is a new stage of cooperation within the DUAHN project with the University of Applied Sciences Weienstephan-Triesdorf

As part of the development of the international project «German-Ukrainian University Network» (DUAHN), the delegation headed by the rector of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine Vadym TKACHUK made a working visit to the University of Applied Sciences Weienstephan-Triesdorf.

The delegation of Ukraine included: vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work and international activities Oleksandr LABENKO, as well as the project coordinator Natalia KOVALENKO. On the German side, the meeting was attended by the president of the University of Applied Sciences Weienstefan-Triesdorf Erich VOLIER and program coordinator Ralf SCHLAUDERER. The key event of the visit was the signing of an agreement on the issuance of double diplomas between partner universities. The implementation of this initiative will open up new opportunities for students to study internationally, achieve academic mobility and obtain diplomas recognized both in Ukraine and in Germany. The meeting participants paid special attention to the development of the International Master's program in Administrative Management (MBA), which has been successfully implemented between our universities for more than 20 years.

During the meetings, the parties discussed further deepening of Ukrainian-German educational and scientific cooperation in the field of agricultural education, digitalization and training of specialists for the agricultural and food sectors of Ukraine.

Among the further steps of cooperation are defined:

  • strengthening the program's promotion among students of other specialties;

  • more active involvement of program graduates to disseminate information and exchange experience;

  • conducting online meetings and presentations of MAM for students and instructors;

  • search for funding for scholarships with the support of agricultural companies and international partners.

The partners stressed that the development of the DUAHN network is an important contribution to the modernization of agricultural education in Ukraine and the training of specialists for the future European integration of the Ukrainian agricultural sector.

Despite all the challenges of wartime, the Ukrainian-German partnership continues to strengthen, demonstrating true European solidarity in the field of education, science and human development. The support that Ukrainian universities receive from German partners is not only a contribution to the preservation and modernization of the education system in Ukraine, but also an important signal of trust in the future of our state. It is thanks to such initiatives as the DUAHN network that a new generation of specialists is being formed who are able to rebuild Ukraine, develop its agricultural sector and confidently integrate the country into the European educational and economic space.
