typical tasks of a technologist in the field of production and processing of livestock products

Educational and Professional Programme "Cynology"

The educational and professional programme ‘Cynology’ of the first (bachelor's) level of higher education is aimed at training highly qualified specialists in the field of breeding, keeping, training, using and protecting dogs for various purposes. The programme provides students with a solid theoretical knowledge and practical skills in animal biology and physiology, genetics and breeding, zoohygiene, veterinary and sanitary basics, dog behaviour and psychology, methods of training and preparation of service, sports and decorative breeds.

The programme is focused on integrating modern scientific approaches, international experience and practice-oriented training, taking into account the needs of the labour market. The programme includes training and work placements at dog training centres, kennels, veterinary institutions, law enforcement and security agencies, as well as in the private sector.

Graduates of the programme are able to carry out professional activities in the field of cynology, organise and control the processes of keeping, breeding and training dogs, comply with the requirements of biosafety and humane treatment of animals, and apply modern technologies and regulatory and legal acts in their professional activities. The qualification obtained provides the opportunity for further study at the second (master's) level of higher education and successful professional realization.
