NUBiP of Ukraine expands international cooperation with Argentina in the field of agricultural technologies
On November 26, 2025, on the basis of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, a seminar «Transfer of Argentine agricultural technologies to Ukraine» was held. It was organized by NUBiP of Ukraine in cooperation with the National Institute of agricultural technologies of Argentina with the support of the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Ukraine.
The event brought together representatives of the University, Argentine scientific and business structures, as well as the diplomatic corps to present Argentina's practical experience in the agricultural sector and discuss opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
The seminar was opened by the rector of NUBiP of Ukraine professor Vadym TKACHUK who in his welcoming speech outlined the relevance of partnership with Argentina in the agricultural sector and stressed the University's interest in joint projects. After that, the participants were congratulated by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to Ukraine Ms. Elena Letizia MIKUSINSKI, who noted the potential of Ukrainian-Argentine cooperation and support from the embassy.
During the seminar, project coordinator, engineer Alejandro SAAVEDRA presented the activities of the National Institute of agricultural technologies of Argentina (INTA), focusing on the main areas of research and implementation of results in production. Separate reports and videos were devoted to agricultural machinery, logistics and post-harvest processes used in Argentina.
Video presentation of the engineer Hernan FERRARI focused on agricultural machinery and its application in various production conditions. Engineer Diego DE LA TORRE in his video demonstration presented approaches to logistics and post-harvest grain processing in Argentina, in particular the storage system in silage bags, which was formed and developed in Argentina and is now exported as a technology that provided flexible modular storage of crops and reduced the dependence of producers on the workload of stationary elevators.
During the seminar, a presentation of Argentech Group was also held, during which participants got acquainted with the company's activities and solutions for the agricultural sector. A separate section of the program was dedicated to Zewan company, with its video presentation covering examples of work in the agricultural market of Argentina.
Between the main sessions, there was a break, during which participants were offered a tasting of "yerba mate" as a traditional Argentine drink and got introduced to the options for its culinary use. Informal communication contributed to the diplomatic mission and the establishment of contacts between university representatives and Argentine partners.
The final part of the seminar was a question-and-answer session, during which participants discussed the possibility of adapting the presented Argentine practices to Ukrainian conditions, as well as the prospects for joint scientific and educational initiatives. The seminar became a platform for exchanging experience and outlining further steps in the development of cooperation between NUBiP of Ukraine and Argentine institutions.
