Faculty of Food Science, Nutrition and Quality Management
The Faculty of Food Sciences, Nutrition and Quality Management is one of the youngest in NUBiP of Ukraine.
Nutrition is an integral part of our life, necessary as air, which brings a sea of pleasure, makes us able-bodied, healthy and happy. All over the world, this area has always been given the closest attention, and specialists in the field of food organization and food production have always had and will have a high social status. Nutrition is one of the most popular topics, which is widely discussed on radio, TV, and written about in glossy magazines.
Recently, the Kyiv region has become one of the leaders among Ukrainian regions in terms of the intensity of development of this area. The development of the food industry and public catering has become one of the priority tasks of the economy of our region. It is clear that their solution is impossible without highly qualified personnel. Therefore, the Academic Council of NUBiP of Ukraine has decided to open the faculty "Food Technologies and Quality Management of Agricultural and Industrial Complex Products".
The purpose of the faculty is based on the following principles:
- professional management of issues of quality, safety, standardization and certification of agricultural products during their production, transportation, processing, storage and sale;
- creation of environmentally safe technologies for the production, processing and storage of agricultural and industrial products;
- creation of modern methods of managing the quality and safety of raw materials and food products;
- expansion of the use of alternative types of raw materials and energy carriers for obtaining food products;
- development, improvement and introduction into practice of scientific methods and innovative technologies that would ensure the production of high-quality and safe products;
- adaptation of curricula and specialist training programs to the conditions of future activity;
- training of highly qualified specialists in food technologies and quality, standardization and certification of agricultural and industrial products.
