Cultural and educational work

The National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine pays considerable attention to the comprehensive development of higher education students, shaping their deep values and a strong patriotic stance. An important mission of the University, along with the creation of new knowledge and ensuring its high-quality transfer, is to instil in students high moral principles, culture and national consciousness. The University fosters in young people a sense of responsibility for the future of the country and educates true citizens who are able to actively participate in building a strong, democratic society filled with patriotic spirit and national pride.

Events such as the solemn celebration of anniversaries, faculty day, student initiation, festivals, graduation parties, meetings with university alumni, cultural and artistic figures, members of the Verkhovna Rada and local councils, war and labour veterans, themed evenings, excursions to historical sites, etc.

Great attention is paid to the education of students, the formation of personality, the consolidation of skills of independent learning and self-education, and involvement in socially useful work. Students actively participate in creative events of the faculty, university, and country.

The development of students' general culture is facilitated by their participation in artistic activities. Creative groups actively participate in concerts for war veterans, celebrations, and youth evenings not only at the faculty level, but also at the university, in the city of Kyiv and beyond.

Sports and mass activities play a significant role in the lives of students of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Aquatic Bioresources and are aimed at widely involving students in independent systematic physical education, fostering in students the need for a healthy lifestyle, strengthening health, forming physical and spiritual values of the individual, and increasing the level of physical fitness, academic and work activity. In this regard, the competition calendar has been expanded, as well as the programme of traditional comprehensive sports competitions of the faculty and the university as a whole.

Taking into account the material and technical base, certain traditions, interests of students and faculty, the university has sections for the following sports: football, mini football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, kettlebell lifting, athletics, tourism, freestyle wrestling, rhythmic gymnastics, track and field, acrobatics, and equestrian sports, allowing students and teachers to improve their athletic skills.

Our faculty has an active volunteer movement, whose main task is to provide conditions for students' self-realisation and self-awareness by helping people in need and enabling student volunteers to gain knowledge and experience in volunteer work.

As part of the university's programme to shape the worldview of students, ‘Patriot, Citizen, Specialist’, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Aquatic Bioresources uses various forms of educational work. Preference is given to methods that ensure active student participation. Academic group mentors are involved in this work, providing comprehensive support to students throughout their studies, helping them to grow as individuals and fostering high moral and human qualities in them.
