INTERGEO-2025: immersion in the world of geospatial innovation
High-quality geodetic and land management education is impossible without constant immersion in global innovations and industry trends. That is why for specialists and students of the faculty of land management of NUBIP of Ukraine, participation in leading international events is an integral part of the educational process and scientific development. The world's largest platform for sharing experience and demonstrating the latest technologies in the field of geoinformation systems, land management, cartography and geodesy — the INTERGEO conference and exhibition — confirms its uniqueness every year.
On October 7-9, 2025, Frankfurt am Main became the global center of the geospatial community. The event was attended by more than 18,500 participants from 119 countries, 530 exhibitors and more than 1,200 conference participants from 52 countries. INTERGEO proved once again that this is not just an exhibition or a scientific forum — it is a platform, network and driving force for the future of the entire industry.

Conference part organized by DVW e.V., set the direction of discussions: Geo-AI, digital doubles, remote sensing of the Earth, BIM, open data, data sovereignty, protection of critical infrastructure. Individual scientific events, such as the FroGS symposium and the German cartographic congress, provided in-depth discussions and fresh scientific ideas. At the exhibition site, innovations could be literally felt: from fire monitoring and flood prevention systems to solutions for sustainable infrastructure and optimization of construction processes.
This year NUBiP of Ukraine has been presented by the head of the department of land management design, prof. Andriy MARTYN, acting head of the department of geodesy and cartography prof. Taras YEVSYUKOV, students Heorhiy YURCHENKO, Dmytro MATVIYCHUK, Mykola ZABUHA, Polina DIDYURA, as well as the applicant for the degree of doctor of philosophy Oleksiy KUTSENKO. Graduates of different years Kateryna MYKHAILYK, Vitalina HUZ, Viktoria SERHIENKO and others also joined in. Representatives of the University held a number of meetings with leading manufacturers of geodetic equipment, including Hexagon (Leica Geosystems), CHC Navigation, Trimble, AlphaGEO and others. Negotiations were also held with developers of software solutions for geodesy, cartography and land management. In particular, preliminary agreements were reached to expand the educational laboratories of NUBIP of Ukraine and equip them with modern equipment.

Students had the opportunity to participate in master classes, presentations and testing of new technologies. Meetings with FIG representatives were of particular importance (International Federation of surveyors), after all NUBiP of Ukraine is the only university in the state that has academic membership in this organization.

INTERGEO 2025 confirmed: geospatial data is the key to a sustainable digital future. It is on such platforms that the vision of the profession is formed, scientific contacts grow and new opportunities for educational development open up.
The next INTERGEO will be held on September 15-17, 2026 in Munich. For the faculty of land management of NUBiP of Ukraine, this is not only another event, but also a strategic stage of integration into the global community of specialists who create the future of spatial sciences.i
